Foster and Adoptive Families play a vitally important role to the children served by the Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families (DSCYF). Right now, though we don’t have enough families to give all of these children the loving, safe, and stable home that they need and deserve.
We are actively recruiting for approximately 30 foster families and 80 adoptive families statewide. We are happy to work with families who are willing to provide a safe and supportive environment to any of our children, though we are particularly in need of families who can take teens, sibling groups and medically fragile children.
Have you ever considered fostering or adoption but just haven’t followed through yet? Then please take the next step by attending one of the information sessions listed below and click on the links for more information about the process for each pathway. You don’t have to be perfect to foster or adopt a child. What our children need most is Love ~ Our Kids Matter.

We'd like to thank 99.5 WJBR and Great Scott Broadcasting for embarking on a wonderful partnership with us to recruit foster and adoptive families in Delaware. Over the next year, you’ll hear radio spots on their stations featuring the voices of foster and adoptive parents, children, teens and staff.
